Programme Details

The session will last for one hour to a whole day. Below is an example running order, but all sessions can be tailored to individual students' needs.

Welcome and introduction, making the participants feel at ease, reminding them it's a fun session with no pressure. Outline length of session and option to purchase a guitar at the end.
Quick demonstration of seating posture and general nomenclature.
Very simple warm up exercises, letting the participants get a sound out of the guitar.
Easy jam with accompanying backing track, with whole group and tutor.
Choice of songs to learn with easy chord sheets provided.
Split into small groups. Participants can work individually or as a group at any time, with tutor help where needed.
Fun and informal small group performance of songs with tutor support.
Handing out of take home packs for participants, which will include:

CD backing tracks

Chord box sheets

General guitar information, including different models and collector editions

Plectrums

Percussion egg
